Pedro Fernández de Ovando : ウィキペディア英語版 | Pedro Fernández de Ovando Pedro Fernández de Ovando (or de Fuencalada) (Fuente Encalada (or ''Fuencalada'') – 1184) was with the Spanish military and a nobleman. ==Life== Pedro Fernández de Ovando, native of Fuente Encalada (or ''Fuencalada''), in the diocese of Astorga, was a son of Fernando Joanes de Ovando, 1st Duke of Limia and his wife. He became First Master of the Order of Santiago in 1171 and died in 1184, and was buried at the Church of San Marcos de León.〔Vargas, B. Moreno de, ''Historia de la Ciudad de Mérida''〕 He married María de Azagra and they lived at Fuente Encalada. Their first child was Rodrigo Pérez de Ovando, 1st Count of Ciudad Rodrigo, and their second son was Hernán Pérez de Ovando.
